I visited Sandy Point SP today from about 1:30 to 3:30, not having seen
Kye Jenkins' post about the Baird's, and found a somewhat different mix of
birds. It was windy but at least it was not raining. Another birder I spoke
with had heard about the Baird's, but we did not see it. A single BRANT was
on the grass near the small boat launch, looking very domesticated. The only
shorebirds were 4 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER and one DUNLIN. There was a nice
adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL on the southern end of the beach and a few
good sparrows around the edge areas. Some of the notables:
BRANT - 1
Black Duck - 1
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER - 4
DUNLIN - 1
Laughing Gull - 70
Ring-billed Gull - 20
Herring Gull - 25

Field Sparrow - 2
Song Sparrow - 5
White-throated Sparrow - 15
