This report is provided on behalf of Talbot Bird Club members Jan Reese and
Terry Allen.  They counted the robins leaving an Easton roost site at dawn
this morning, October 23, 2009, and reached a count number of about 44,000
birds.  Counts have been made at this site for many years, and this morning
the count was the highest that it has been for quite a few years.

 

The roosting spot is the wooded region east of Route 50 and beside the
Holiday Inn Express Motel in Easton, MD, Talbot County.
