Good Evening all,
Early, early this AM, I hit the road for St. Mary's County with not
one, but two mugs of coffee. I thought I'd start my workday off with
a quick run around Pt Lookout and then Cornfield Harbor, before
heading visiting some Southern MD schools. I notched my 3000th
Maryland tick, a Sharp-shinned Hawk, while leaving the Point. Neat-o.
Later, around 4:30PM, I was back in Southern Anne Arundel County. I
thought I'd drop by Dent Road to look for a certain sparrow that was
seen there this past Sunday. No luck. Oh, the bird might've been
there, but the sound of high powered rifles turned me around right
quick. Instead I made a very brief stop to a recently-plowed field
near the sod farm (Shady Oaks Road). There I found a handful of
American Pipits, Horned Lark, two Pectoral Sandpipers and loads of
Killdeer.
That's all folks.
