In mid-afternoon today I made a quick trip down to Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary
in southern Prince George's County, to see if the WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS
found by Thomas Ostrowski were still there. They were! Three of them,
foraging along the near shore of the large pond to the right, as viewed from
the rear of the observation deck at the Visitor's Center. They were with
24+ Greater Yellowlegs and 2 Lesser Yellowlegs.
