On the way home from birding at Blue Mash this morning, we stopped to look for Wood Ducks on the storm water ponds off of Sligo Creek Parkway.  We were treated to 26 Wood Ducks, including 14 males, 12 of which were in full breeding plumage, and 12 females.  They were all together on the pond furthest off the road, just south of Forrest Glen Road.
