Hi,

This afternoon between 2 and 3 pm I was at Piscataway Park, Accokeek, Prince Georges County. Northwest of the boardwalk at some distance, loose aggregations of waterbirds sat on the river. One of the closest birds, but still identifiable only through a telescope, was the EARED GREBE.

Behind me over my right shoulder were two Red-headed Woodpeckers. Way out in the Potomac were at least four FORSTER'S TERNS. Other birds on the river included but are not limited to Gadwall, American Wigeon, Common Loon, and Bufflehead.

Happy Thanksgiving to all,
