Today in the backyard, I noticed a well-dressed bird at our feeder: a
banded Carolina Chickadee.
The bird had a Green band on it's right leg, and a Silver band over a
Yellow band on it's left leg. I took a few photos, but the light
was... well anyone who looked out a window today knows what the light
was like. Perhaps when the sun once again breaks through the clouds
(mid-February, so I've been told), I will snap a few more photos...
photos that are actually in focus!
While I was pishing for the banded chickadee to come down from the
tree tops, a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker milled about a few feet away on
the trunk of our Maple.
I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday. Happy Thanksgiving all!
