Mike and I drove over to Black Hill and refound the geese in question in the same area previously described. These aren't Snow Geese for the reasons you mentioned and more: no grin patch, no black primaries, bill and legs are more orange than pink, and the birds have gray flanks.
That being said, I don't know what it is. We were speculating that it may be some sort of hybrid. Maybe a Snow Goose X Domestic Goose? Or maybe it's just a plain old domestic goose. Although I have doubts about it just being a domestic Graylag Goose because the neck doesn't seem thick enough, nor the body chunky enough. The bill shape also seems more consistent with a Canada Goose or Snow Goose.
