Dan Haas found 2 Purple Sandpipers feeding on the rocks at Thomas Point Park
today. I raced over from College Park to see them. Gannets were
everywhere. There was also a large feeding flock of Boneparts Gulls off to
the north. Dan picked out a pair of Red-Throated Loons, and Joe Hanfman
picked a White-Winged Scoter out of a scoter flock. What did I find? A
single House Sparrow in the holly bush at the end of the point. My full
