Hi all,

My target bird for the day was a Lapland Longspur along Oland Road. Came up with nothing.
I stopped by LilyPonds water gardens and did a little birding. Best birds were 2 American Tree Sparrows and about 15 Great Blue Herons which were hunkered down in one of the back pond areas. Later, I walked Blue Mash Trail in Olney, along the Rt. 108 entrance and observed an American Kestrel hoovering/hunting over the landfill.  A Northern Harrier was also present. Another surprise was a BROWN THRASHER in the brush along the sunny hillside, thrashing leaves and looking for food. I wouldn't have noticed it, if it hadn't of made so much noise!
