Hi Eveybody: I checked out the Potomac River this morning before going to work and was not able to relocate the Red-throated Loon. There were at least 2 boats on the water and about 7:30 AM I heard some gunshots fired up river, so I assumed that there were duck or goose hunters on the river.

The only waterfowl I saw were 4 Black Ducks, 6 Ruddies and 2 Lesser Scaup before heading off to work.
