Hi folks,
Took a few hours to tour Deal Island today.  Ice is breaking up, but most marsh ponds are still covered.  However, where there are tidal flows and currents there is open water.  Species list:
Deal Island WMA, Gun Preserve  Road: Pied-billed grebe, Great Blue Heron, Tundra Swan, Canada Goose, American Wigeon, Gadwall, American Black Duck, Hooded Merganser, Turkey Vulture, Bald Eagle, Northern Harrier, Wild Turkey, Wilson's Snipe, Ring-billed Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, American Herring Gull, Belted Kingfisher, Northern Flicker, Tree Swallow, American Crow, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Song Sparow.
Riley Roberts Road: American Bittern, Northern Shoveler, Downy, Woodpecker,
Carolina Wren, Carolina Chickadee, Brown-headed Nuthatch,Golden-crowned Kinglet, Eastern Towhee, Northern Cardinal, Boat-tailed Grackle
Deal Island /Winona:  Greater Scaup, Bufflehead, Cooper's Hawk, Killdeer, European Starling, Fish Crow
