Yesterday during the Baltimore Bird Club Mid-winter Bird Count I visited six
locations and tallied 53 species (plus 3 Sp.). In the first half of day I
birded the Woodstock Area of Patapsco Valley State Park. Three Red-breasted
Nuthatch, a Brown Creeper and a Barred Owl were featured on my list.

I met up with Art Rogers for the rest of the afternoon with the following
highlights: 2 Common Raven, 1 Bald Eagle and American Pipit at Hernwood
Landfill; 1 American Kestrel and 1 Common Raven at the WCBM Towers Fields
(private); 1 Red-headed Woodpecker at Liberty Reservoir--Liberty Dam Road;
then 8 Field Sparrow, 1 Savannah Sparrow and  at Soldiers Delight NEA.
