Hi everyone,

Mikey Lutmerding, Mike Walsh, and myself birded the coast today.
Despite the terrible weather we were able to observe some good birds.
Most of the interesting birds were seen at the inlet.

Dovkie -- First spotted by Mikey in the middle of the inlet around
3pm, we watched the bird for about 20 minutes as the it worked the
inlet from the mouth all the way back to the bend. The bird
disappeared in a wave at the mouth of the inlet. Mikey has great
photos of the bird.

Common Eiders -- 63 birds counted around 8:30am

White-winged Scoter -- One bird inside the inlet

Lesser Black-backed Gull -- Two birds were seen and well documented an
the inlet parking lot.

We stopped at all the ponds in the area which are now only partially
frozen. Many American Wigeon were seen. Unfortunately, no Eurasian
Wigeon were observed.
