Early this morning I drove up to Schooley Mill Park in Howard County to try for the AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS. They were pretty easy to find along the wooded edge of the lower field. This morning they were between signposts 27 and 28 on the steeper slope, moving along the edge with a larger flock of field, song, and white-throated sparrows. Also had one first-year swamp sparrow to add to my January count.
Looking forward to the weekend and getting out to more distant parts of the state.
