This morning, Linda Friedland and I were at Blue Mash from about 8 to
10 AM. We were lucky to find 2-3 American Tree Sparrows in the
brambles along the path that leaves the main road on the left and goes
to the small pond. They were with a flock also containing one Field
and several Song and White-throated Sparrows. Earlier we saw 2 Swamp
Sparrows.

The small pond was completely frozen & bare, the larger one half
frozen with about 200 Canada Geese. They flew away leaving 3 Ring-
necked Ducks. On the way back we saw a beautiful red fox on the pond.

I posted a few photos including some of the Am. Tree Sparrow and of
the fox (http://tweetweet.smugmug.com/Nature/Birds/Bird-List/9551346_weyy5/1/771357566_aD6Pc
