Sean's Junco is well within the usual limits of variability for first
winter female, I think. The head is nowhere near dark enough to
suggest "Pink-sided" Junco.
Bill Schmoker's photo (at the URL Danny Bystrak gave in his post) and
a photo in "Sparrows & Finches of the Great Lakes Region & Eastern
North America" by Chris Early (Firefly Books 2003) both show a bird
very like Sean's.
