Hello all,

Took a walk around Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis this afternoon and logged 38 species. Nothing rare but a few notables including: Hairy Woodpecker, Brown Creeper, Winter Wren, Hermit Thrush, Brown Thrasher, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Cedar Waxwing, Eastern Bluebird, and Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Some periods of very good activity interspersed with slower periods but pretty steady overall. At one point we had ~ 12 Bluebirds, ~ 15 Waxwings, and ~ 6 YR warblers, with multiple House Finches, Goldfinches, White-throated Sparrows, Juncos, Downy and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, and Robins all congregating around a small area of vines and multiflora rose berries, eating the berries and drinking out of puddles in the parking lot.

Also heard C. Chickadees, Tufted Titmice, N. Cardinals, House Finches, and RW Blackbirds singing their full (but rusty) songs.

On the way home we saw a Sharp-shinned Hawk fly over Taylor Avenue just north of Rowe Blvd. We stopped at the store and saw a huge flock of Am. Robins that past in groups of 20 - 50 and took over 20 minutes to clear, rough estimate of 1,000 - 1,500 birds all heading north over West Annapolis. Does anyone happen to know where all these birds might be roosting?

Good Birding,
