Hi all,

ince I was snowed in at the house today, I figured I'd bring the birds to me
nd spread some seed in the bare patch of ground right outside our glass door.
've had about 50 Horned Larks, lots of blackbirds and cowbirds and starlings,
ong and Savannah and adult White-crowned sparrows, juncos, doves, and a mocker
he last few days and this morning. Around lunchtime I came downstairs to get
omething and casually looked out the glass door at the larks. Right away I saw
he Lapland Longspur and froze, it was about 2 feet from the door! So I've been
itting by the glass door most of the day enjoying the best looks of a Longspur
've ever had, and I didn't even have to step outside.
