Seriously.  I took a run to Jefferson from my home near Burkittsville.  MD state highway 383 was fine, but when i tried to take Holter Road to get to Middletown, i found many stretches of one-lane road where two lanes should have been.  Several miles before reaching Middletown, a county worker was stopping and turning around traffic due to (he said) a collapsed snow bank.  I had passed snow banks that were as much as 10 foot tall to that point.  I can't speak to the conditions specifically other than that as i gave up and headed back home, but i think generally giving (at least) S FRED CO a pass this weekend would be a good idea.
