Jeff, did your groundhog see his shadow?

Not so uncommon, but we had our first Chipping Sparrow at the feeder this week, and the grackle/blackbird invasion has begun in earnest. I am delighted to report that the witch hazel has opened its buds and the yellow blossoms are starting to stretch out.

The fox's footprints are in a straight line from the woods to our living room window.
