Good morning all,

I just purchased a new tripod for my (large) Swarovski scope (angled eyepiece). It's a Manfrotto190CX3 carbon fibre, 3 section model which I plan to use mostly for travel, not to replace my main heavier tripod. I also purchased a new head for it, a Manfrotto 322 RC2, which is a horizontal joystick head (short) unit. This is new to me, and I got it so my wife and I can share it for both the scope and our camera. I have been tinkering with it somewhat this morning, but it is so radically different from my standard head (with a "stick" and 2 adjustment knobs for horizontal/vertical panning) that I'm not sure if I will like it. Does anyone else use one of these joystick heads with their scope, and if so, how do you like it? The new head will take up less room in our carry-on, as will the new shorter and lighter tripod.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, in advance.
