Many thanks to all the folks who sent me suggestions as to where to see some
Goldeneye ..
I had luck on the Choptank in Cambridge yesterday.

Saw 6-8 close, but briefly from the marina on the Talbot Co. side,
and then several more for a long time in super light from the Dorchester
Co. side in he little point/park at the end of Somerset ave.
Had excellent views of both males and females. The green plumage on the
heads of the males could be seen in the bright sunshine
Very nice indeed !!

Later in the day,in the parking lot at Blackwater, I saw ( soaring) what
was almost surely a "Krider's" (very pale morph) Red-tailed hawk!

I'll post more details later, but if one is at Blackwater keep a look out
for this bird. Get a photo if you can.
