As I was driving over the Solomons bridge this morning, there were no geese at all in the field where the Greater White-fronted Goose was yesterday. There were also no geese in the field further south across from the Avondale Center. Perhaps the strong winds are keeping the general goose flock hunkered down somewhere until it warms up a bit? 

The goose flock was still there yesterday afternoon just before 6 pm but were foraging in a depression paralleling the tree lined driveway so not all of them were visible.
