Hi all on Sunday Feb 28, 2010 four VERY HARDY members of Talbot County Bird Club met trip leader Danny Poet at the Wye Island Bridge in Queen Annes County. No sooner had everyone arrived then we were exposed to off and on heavy snow flurries hindering our scoping of the Wye River . We ended our morning on the Island with 41 species nothing rare but we enjoyed nice groupings of waterfowl . We were hopefull for an early Osprey but none choose to show up . Just to let folks know the dirt road on the Island is closed to automobiles because of the big melt . Birds seen and heard below numbers are rough estimates. A great time was had by all .
