Yesterday (3/1) there were five Wood Ducks (3 male and 2 female)
on Leeds Creek in front of our house near Tunis Mills in Talbot County.
Today there are still at least three of them, along with a pair of Hooded
Mergansers, one Bufflehead and seven Lesser Scaup. A flock of about 800
Canada Geese were here this morning. They are acting a bit restless, so it
will not be long before they will be migrating toward their nesting grounds.

The Bald Eagle nest that is being watched at Blackwater NWR via
the nest cam hatched out two little ones last weekend. The first arrived on
Feb 26 and the second one hatched Feb 28. The web page of Friends of
Blackwater carries the Eagle Nest-Cam and provides fascinating views of the
Eagle family, including the little ones as they hatched.
