Hi Everyone,

I have made a mistake in my earlier post about the "Yellow" warbler which is
actually a very yellow pine warbler.

Lou DeMouy and several others have contacted me concerning my sighting and I
am sorry to say I was wrong.

It is nice to know that so many people are up to date on migration species
and are kind enough to share what they know.

Again I apologize for getting everyone so excited but it was still nice to
see this lovely bird.

Happy Birding,

Hi Patricia,

Your photos are wonderful! Thank you for sending them.

This is a pine warbler. If you have a copy of the Sibley bird guide, you can
see the markings well on page 442. The bird has a long tail projection,
stout bill, round head, pale neck patch, and dark cheeks. The streaking on
the breast is blurry and olive colored and the pine warbler has wing bars.
It's so strongly yellow that I can see wanting to call this a yellow
warbler.

The photos are a treasure. Thanks for sharing with MDOsprey. You helped me
with tomorrow's Voice of the Naturalist.

All the best.

Lou
