Hi all,
A few nice things around this morning; the Ring-necked Ducks are still on the small farm pond, with a pair of Mallards. Saw my FOY Tree Swallow in and over the yard today. It briefly alighted on one of my bluebird boxes, but there were simply too many bluebirds around for it, so it disappeared. At one point there were 2 pair of bluebirds scrappling over one particular box (I have 5 up so there should be no fighting!). Heard an E. Phoebe, as well as E, Towhee. 28 species so far today, including the ever present E. Screech Owl. The afternoon light is really good for seeing him, as he sits in his hole and faces the afternoon sun. It would be a good photo op, if only for a longer lens!
