There was a drake Eurasian Wigeon at Cranberry Reservoir near Westminster this morning. It was associating with a small flock of American Wigeon and Ring-necked Ducks. It drifted out of sight into a cove in the left rear of the lake. The reservoir is located on Monks Way off Lucabaugh Mill Road northeast of Westminster (DeLorme 74B1).

Protocol for birding here: You may park near the gate. Do not drive down the paved driveway beyond the gate. Scope the birds from outside the fence near the gate. Do not block the driveway.

Birds present were: Canada Goose 290, Eurasian Wigeon 1 male, American Wigeon 9, Mallard 4, Ring-necked Duck 12, Hooded Merganser 2, Common Merganser 5, Coot 1.
