Raptor Observations: The warm temperatures sent the flight up very high while the sunny skies
challenged the observers. About three-quarters of the flight occurred
between 3 and 5 p.m., daylight time.
Non-raptor Observations:
About 1500 scaup, mostly Greater, on the river. Four butterflies, one
identified as an Eastern Comma.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
