Resumed morning walks in Ft. Bayard Park (corner of River Rd. and Western Ave., NW DC) this morning with my daughter, who is now 3 and wants to be out of the carrier. We were greeted by a nice assortment of the usual early spring migrants, plus a gazillion robins. The migrants included a PHOEBE, a SAPSUCKER, FIELD and CHIPPING SPARROWS (plus 2 Song Sparrows I strongly suspect were migrants), and JUNCOS.
And I made it home without losing the free-roaming girl, though she really needs her own pair of binoculars.
