Hi Folks,

Well, as has been the case for the last several years, American Woodcocks
are stopping by briefly but not staying. We had one last night and another
tonight. Our meadow is too overgrown with exotic/farm grass, some natives
(Purple Top, Big Bluestem) and such. The first full year we lived here
(2005) the 2.5 acres or so was an old horse paddock - not what we wanted but
apparently it was what the male Woodcocks loved. There were lots of
displays, and they stayed on for a few weeks.

Now they seem almost stressed out - they WANT to display here but they
can't. Peent!

Silly Woodcocks, brain all upside-down. PEENT!
