Hi all,

Took a brief stroll around quiet waters park in Annapolis today with my girlfriend. First of the year birds for me included at least 3 singing Pine Warblers and 1 Chipping Sparrow in breeding plumage. Yellow-rumped was the only other warbler seen. Also present were some "wintering" birds which may have well been migrants as well, including Hairy Woodpecker, Brown Creeper, and decent sized flocks of brightly colored White-throated Sparrows among the more usual species. Juncos were also singing.

Good Birding,

P.S. After taking a hiatus, a Fox Sparrow has been in my yard in Eastport for the last two days. Ospreys have be seen or heard overhead daily for the last week or so.
