Ryan:

The Tufted Duck was seen well yesterday, Tuesday mid-morning,
swimming and diving with a group of Scaup. The group spent most of
the time in the south part of the cove, quite near the service road
that connects with westbound US 50.

The General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express, Eric Hoffman, was
most gracious. He reiterated that birders are most welcome to look
for the Tufted Duck and anything else that might be around, from the
grounds of the hotel. Also, one of his staff members has made a
small display that incorporates a great photo of the duck by lens
maestro Bill Hubick and a short description of the species obtained
from Wikipedia. The display is in the lobby of the hotel.
