Gail,
What "species" of bins was Barry testing?

Hi all --
We visited Brookside Gardens and Wheaton R.P. this morning, primarily for
arry to test a new pair of bins. The Gardens were not too interesting
ird-wise though very lovely with many spring flowers out.
However Wheaton Park near Pine Lake did have some action and we enjoyed a
ouple of small bird flocks near the head of the lake, including some
olden-crowned Kinglets below eye level, drinking. No waterfowl on Pine Lake
xcept a couple of tame Mallards as it is opening day for fishing and there
as a lot of disturbance around this stocked lake.
Birds of interest:
Cooper's Hawk - 1
ed-shouldered Hawk - 1
astern Phoebe - 3
olden-crowned Kinglet - 12+
rown Creeper - 1
owhee - 1 (heard only)
Otherwise just the "usual suspects" but nice to be out and hear all the
obins, Cardinals and Song Sparrows sounding off. Only two Carolina Wrens
ead, low for this habitat.
