Any update on the Ruff?

I am still debating whether to try for it this afternoon, but hesitate to drive the 2+ hour trip. Not to mention the gulls here at Jug Bay are rocking today. Laughers are calling like today's the first day of spring, and have been active all afternoon. At 1:30, I counted 285 on the mudflat at Western Branch, and mixed in with them are about 6 Ringers, 46 Bonaparte's, plus one Forsters and 3 Caspian Terns. I am looking for a Black-headed or Little, but no luck yet! The count does not include birds in the air, which have been constantly flying past, citrcling, calling, etc. Seems like there is about 30-50 in the air at any one time.

Hard to depart for Cambridge under these circumstyances!

P.S. Heard two Common Yellowthroats calling in teh wetlands.

Cheers!
