A quick run around the Mall showed me the following:
There was a big fly-in of Field Sparrows overnight, their song can be heard from various locations on the Mall.
Also there are now numbers of Chipping Sparrows around (especially around Constitution Gardens.
There are still a few Juncos and White-throated Sparrows are still here.
Eastern Towhees have returned.
Some other highlights:
Constitution Gardens:
The pair of American Wigeons are still in the pond
A Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
Tidal Basin (yesterday)
An Osprey
A Caspian Tern
Today in the Enid Haupt Garden behind the Smithsonian Castle: heard, but alas not seen: A Yellow-throated Warbler
Also, I have not seen this reported (but maybe I have not been paying attention): A pair of Ospreys are back on the nest at the train bridge over the Potomac
