Thanks to the Scenic Rivers Land Trust, I checked out the Bacon Ridge Natural Area in Crownsville, MD this morning. They had a bunch of tours and did a great job coordinating the event. I sure wish this place was accessible all the time.

Highlights included my FOY Ovenbirds (3), Louisiana Waterthrush, N. Parula, Black & White Warblers (4), multiple B.G. gnatcatchers including 1 nest and a bird with nesting material. Several Chipping Sparrows, Wild Turkey (1 hen), Tree, Barn, N. rough-winged Swallows, Chimney Swift (FOY), Red-tail Hawk, 2 adult Bald Eagles, and my FOY Broad-winged Hawk.

It was quite windy so, I am sure there were more birds around that went undetected but

great weather at a fantastic location!

Good Birding,
