Birders,
A quick note that before 8 am this morning an American White Pelican landed
on the Potomac off the Dyke Marsh picnic area (the viewing location) near
the Osprey nest in the bay. It swam easterly and joined a group of DC
Cormorants on a snag near the barge with the cranes, firmly in Maryland/PG
County waters. We left it there at about 9 am. I was unable to relocated
the bird later at 1130.
