This cold morning (4/18) at Rock Creek Park... The highlight was a report from Jim Lemert who saw a tan-striped morph of the White-throated Sparrow with unusual color. The entire eyebrow and central crown stripe had the same bright yellow color as the lores instead of the usual tan. It was seen in the Maintenance Yard Parking Lot near the gate. Also Gary Allport heard a White-eyed Vireo at the Dog Run and a Blue-headed Vireo at the Ridge . Yesterday Alisa Glassman and others saw a Blue-headed Vireo at the Nature Center.
