Hi All,
 
Here is yesterday's Pennyfield bird list.  I ended up going to Blockhouse Point and picked up several new species after everyone left.  
 
Double-crested cormorant
Gt. Blue heron - at least 6
Gt. Egret - in the 2nd impoundment
Green heron
Canada goose
Mallard
Black vulture
Turkey vulture
Red-shouldered hawk
Broad-winged hawk - Perhaps 25+
Caspian tern - 1 at Blockhouse Pt.
Mourning dove
Red-bellied woodpecker
Downy woodpecker
Hairy woodpecker
N. Flicker
Pileated Woodpecker
Eastern Wood-pewee
Eastern Phoebe
Tree swallow
Blue jay
Amer. crow
Carolina chickadee
Tutfted titmouse
White-breasted nuthatch
Carolina wren
Ruby-crowned kinglet -3 sightings
Blue-gray gnatcatcher 
Northern Parula warbler - perhaps as many as 8--I didn't see a single one!
Worm-eating warbler - singing close to access road just after passing the     house/with pond on the way to the canal.           
Louisiana waterthrush - at Blockhouse Pt.
N. Cardinal
Rufous-sided towhee
Song sparrow
White-thr. sparrow
Red-winged blackbird
Common grackle
Brown-headed cowbird
House finch
Amer. goldfinch
 
40 species
