Over the years, I have had many Cardinals banging into my windows trying to
chase away that "other" Cardinal that always seems to be there.
I have hung ribbons, long pieces of 4 inch wide tape, etc., but the Cardinal
would just fly thru or around them.

That was always a Male Cardinal. Now I have a female Cardinal attacking the
window in the front of the house. When it tires of that, it goes to the
back of the house and starts all over. I have never had a female Cardinal
attack its reflection before.

Like Danny Poet, I was also at Tuckahoe yesterday. At Adkins, I found a
Northern Parula, Scarlet Tanager and a Yellow Warbler. I had great views of
2 different Ovenbirds singing, not on the ground but perched about 30 feet
up. The fields around Tuckahoe and Adkins are usually filled with singing
Field Sparrows but none were singing yesterday.
