Stopped by Merkle after work to see what kind of shorebirds the rain had brought in. The shorebirds were present in great numbers, but nothing unusual.

The real highlight wasn't the shorebirds but the newly arrived Bobolinks, who are returning from their ridiculous journey from Bolivia or Paraguay or some other awesomely far place. Some of the males were singing atop the trees.
