There were huge numbers of flyover gulls today at Schoolhouse Pond. I tallied 716 Laughing Gulls, 170 Herring Gull, 31 Ring-billed Gulls, and 1 1st cycle Bonaparte's Gull. Other birds at the pond included 3 Double-crested Cormorants, 2 Osprey, 1 Northern Parula, 4 Mrytle Warblers, 1 Common Yellowthroat (my first of the spring at the pond), 2 White-eyed Vireos, 1 Chipping Sparrow (singing near the adjacent historic site), and 1 adult Bald Eagle.
