I walked along the C&O Canal, last Tuesday morning, between MP 69 and MP 71, where Antietam Aqueduct is located. Highlights included Warbling Vireo (heard a day earlier by Sandy Sagalkin), N. Parula, Yellow Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Yellow-throated Warbler (earlier heard, but not seen by Pete Webb and me on 4/15), Palm Warbler (yellow race). There were also numerous N. Rough-winged Swallows at the mouth of Antietam Creek, as well as numerous female Red-winged Blackbirds feeding in the trees at that location.
