On Saturday, May 8, (International Migratory Bird Day) I'll be leading a group of elementary students and their families for a birdwalk in Rock Creek Park, beginning at the Nature Center.   I am expecting a large group and I can use some volunteers to help lead walks for about 45 minutes to an hour.  Walks will begin at 8:30 and end no later than 9:30, when families leave for the zoo and a bird banding demonstration put on by the Migratory Bird Center.  These students are getting pretty excited about birds, and by extension so are their families.  It should be a fun group.  If you are interested in helping please e-mail me directly.
