Mostly sunny becoming sunny; 51-81 degrees; fair to good visibility; winds
calm in the morning, ending with WSW at 11 mph
Raptor Observations:
A Sharp-shinned Hawk reduced the Yellow Warbler population by one with a
"snatch and squeeze" play. An Osprey diving for a fish came up with one so
large that, after an unsuccessful struggle to get back into the air, it let
go of the fish.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
