Hi all,
Yesterday (5/1) I was taking some vegetable scraps out to the compost bin in
my tiny backyard in Baltimore City when a small bird flew across my field of
vision. It landed just below eye-level in a tree not three feet away, and I
was surprised to find that it was an Ovenbird! Definitely a cool new yard
bird.
Also, I heard an Eastern Wood-Pewee singing this morning while I was buying
some plants out at the Herring Run Watershed Association's nursery (on the
grounds of Mount Pleasant Golf Course in NE Balt City). A FOY for me.
Good birding,
