Yesterday morning I birded on a private farm near Westminster before the rains came. Among the 11 warblers I found were 1 female Nashville (my latest ever), 1 male Magnolia, 1 male Black-throated Blue, 3 Myrtles (all females), 1 female Black-throated Green, 2 adult male Redstarts, 1 Northern Waterthrush (heard only, singing), and 1 singing male MOURNING WARBLER which offered very observations. The latter is by far the earliest I have ever seen. I also saw a singing Least Flycatcher and a Swamp Sparrow, both the latest migrants I have seen in Carroll County.
