Hey Wallace and the other Rock Creekers,

I did another "circuit" and found a few good things: 2 GRAY-CHEEKED were in the woods on the other side of the Maintenance Bldg from where we were (they were on the side opposite the "fenceline." We've seen Gray-Cs here before. The best part is that one of the Grays was constantly singing--that amazingly ethereal song = transporting. Maybe I like it best b/c I dont' hear it that much. In the same area: 2 WORM-EATING warblers. I first saw them around the place where a trail goes to the right--they were at the dip, the low point; then they flew right, toward where a Gray-C was singing. The Worms were not singing. Of course if they sing, that makes it easy, but recall that they like to stay low.

Behind the Ridge in the woods, where the road goes downhill, I heard an Acadian.

Lots of fun birding with the group today--a nice show that Wallace runs!

Tim
